Computer Science & Engineering Department

With an earlier initiative of some competent computer professionals working in the computer centre, the first undergraduate batch rolled out in the year 1982. The major areas of research include Computer aided Design of VLSI chips, Computer Networking, Internet Technologies, Image Processing and Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Aids for the Visually Handicapped, Telemedicine, Real-time Embedded Systems, Object Oriented Data-bases etc. The faculties are also engaged in consultancy projects with reputed MNCs like Texas Instruments, Motorola, Cadence, View logic, Delsoft, C-DOT and many more. The department has executed many projects for national and international clients such as National Semiconductors, Intel, Motorola, Lucent Technologies, Tata InfoTech, MHRD, Department of Science and Technology, C-DAC etc.
